Granted, he might not tell you anyway, but he might and then your family could be saved. Plus, we are talking about an enemy of the state and we aren't executing him. IMHO, if you say you would be willing to sacrifice your wife, mother, children, grandchildren etc... for that idealistic principle, you are an idiot. Sorry, but that's the way I feel about it. I can envision situations where those in power would have that decision multiplied by 1 million. You have to join the real world when discussing something like this. Most people that are not 100% firm on this issue are talking about very extreme circumstances as possible exceptions. No one wants to give government/CIA etc... all kinds of power to run around torturing everyone they see fit. And obviously a country is not going to run around bragging about it if it does. It's got to be done in a way that doesn't "officially" break laws.
