It's a daunting job.

I have to wonder why the Bushies didn't prop up the middle class to a greater degree. If the middle class sinks then the entire economy will go down with it. Everyone will get hurt.................especially the small businessmen and workers that depend on small business.

But Bush and his friends will just ride out the downturn in South America or in the south of France ( except the French aren't too fond of Bush ).

The Bush stagflationary recession could indeed turn into a depression.

Again, economics 101 a recession is when there are two consecutive quarters where the GDP goes down from the prior quarter. Last December the GDP went up, but not as much as the prior quarter. So the economy is still going up, not down.
