Capitalism run amok with no rules and lots of corruption and deregulation does NOT beat modern Euro style socialism at all. Ask anyone in northern Europe or Canada if their mixture of capitalism and socialism plus democracy doesn't make them very secure, proud of their country and happy to pay their taxes, because they get so much back in return and save so much money. In Europe or Canada, if a woman gets pregnant, it costs her about $20 to take her baby home, from conception to taking the baby home. In the USA that's like $10,000. Think about the ramifications of this to an average working woman or family. These so-called "socialism" countries also offer wonderful things like free daycare, free pre-school, even free burial or cremation. So you are taken care of from cradle to grave, and "life" is your right not your privilege. If you're "for life" you must support this against the profiteering of the HMO's and Pharmas which throw so many people out of the system and give such poor or expensive care to others. But, this Medicare plan of Bushis is bankrupting us. One third of it goes into the HMO's and Pharma's pockets.
