The cycle is predictable. Now that McCain Feingold is the law of the land the people have no power to select their leaders and the media does it for them. They wanted McCain because a) they believed they could tear him down enough to beat him b) if they have to have a Republican they prefer a liberal.

Now they got him the nomination they have to start the cycle of ripping him apart.
