<< "Okay ...so all the facts must be there." >>

Actually, based on what McCain, former special adviser to President Clinton Lanny Davis & others have shown; the NY Slimes actually ignored major facts that make this a complete non-story rather than a FRONT PAGE, ABOVE THE FOLD, 8 PAGE SMEAR JOB.

<< "Do they support the headlines and the thrust of the article. No, not at all." >>

Exactly! Look closely at what Keller said:

<< On the timing, our policy is, we publish stories when they are ready. >>

Translation: This 8 year old non-story only became "newz" worthy in the "Paper of Record" when McCain became the presumptive Republican nominee. It only became "Fit to print" after we intentionally ignored all facts that prove there is no here here.

<< "'Ready' means the facts have been nailed down to our satisfaction" >>

Translation: What few facts that actually made it into the article were only those that helped support our vicious LWE slant. Then we were satisfied.

<< "'Ready' means.... the subjects have all been given a full and fair chance to respond" >>

Translation: The subjects, IE, unnamed & anonymous sources got to smear, lie & spin all they wished. Folks like McCain, Lanny Davis & others who wished to be named in the article, all with first hand knowledge & real facts, well, we know they're a bunch of RWE scum who can't be trusted to help make our agenda driven smear job work, so we ignored them.

<< "This story was no exception." >>

'nuff said.

I think they do. But now there are reports of complete falsehoods. I don't trust the Times to report the truth.
