What does Obama have... that Barbara Jordan didn't have? What did Kerry or Gore have... that Hillary Clinton didn't have? How disappointing will it be for women generally if they go to vote in November and have yet another choice of two male nominees? England... Israel... Pakistan... PAKISTAN!... have all produced at least one woman at the head of a government. No doubt there have been numerous others if you include the Queen/Priestess job descriptions. But in all our history we haven't produced a single female nominee from a major party... despite the political labor and capital women have contributed to the process... even in the century+ during which they couldn't vote? And now to have this guy pop up from the most impossible of origins... and threaten to grab the brass ring right out of Clinton's hand? It must be excruciatingly difficult to take. All this and diapers too... Say what you want about women... in or out of office... they are some tough SOBs. Gawd help us all if they ever start popping steroids en mass! <Hoo><ack><Hoo> 0\|0
