Thursday Afternoon PRIMA Meeting

Today I spent the afternoon at the Professional Risk Manager's International Association meeting on risk management post Basel II.

Most of the discussion focused on the current crisis, but addressed Basel II in some fashion.

I could write for hours about what I saw and heard.

One thing I would relate:

There is another (second) stimulus bill in the works. (That should tell you everything you need to know right there.) This Tuesday there will be a back door attempt to get language into the bill which would give BK judges the authority to write down mortgage debt to the current house value.

Only in an election year, right???

We will bring Armageddon on ourselves for sure. Ignore this matter at your own peril.
