Fiber is in our neighborhood--still mostly coiled up
here and there but I saw them laying it on the next
street over today.

Offers from Comcast coming in every other day in
the mail, but no offer is so great that I'd bite.

Correction to my cost estimate for what we pay now:
$75 for Verizon DSL and unlimited phone
$15 for a Verizon pre paid phone cellular phone each month
$15 for Comcast limited basic cable
$15 for Netflix

so our total is on the order of $120 a month
for all comms and video entertainment. That's pretty
frugal--not sure my house is going to be getting
an 'Optical Network Terminal'--nothing for Verizon to
gain at our house.
