Another myth is that capital gains taxes caused by the Internet bubble was the main reason of Clinton's budget deficit reduction.

Since I am doing all the work so far proving you wrong, here is a challenge for you:

Find out what percentage of the US government revenues were the excess capital gains taxes in the last years of the Clinton administration. My guess is that the excess was not that much. If I remember it was something like 60 Billion in the last year which was by far the most relative to the other years.
