I just didn't feel comfortable with having a position with which I wasn't intellectually comfortable, even if there was a chance we'd get bounce. I'll have to get approval to buy calls on my E*Trade account, I guess, because I don't think I can go long an index right now. I do think I'm going to look for some longs after the next mini-crash, though. I think that we need to see earnings weakness before the market goes down decisively, though. The REITs don't need to show earnings weakness, though, because they are overvalued by any rational measure. Maybe not if inflation picks up...
