Nope. Hagel fails one of the great litmus tests: he's anti-choice. No doubt there are others. His domestic votes are very conservative. In the cabinet, that would not bother the Dems but "just a heart beat away." Nope.

Would never work. Some religious zealot would assassinate Obama so that Hagel and his social conservative ideas would end up as President. ......Did you hear Rush Limbaughs comments on the NYTimes article - goodness but that is some ugly thinking. There are people who eat that stuff up and a few who might try to act on it.
