If you drive I-10 from El Paso east, you pass just miles and miles of windmills on top of the mesas, and those are just the ones visible from the highway. Surprising for Texas.

Ironically, it was Bush Jr that got Texas started on large scale wind farms. You'd think he would have stuck with a good idea. But then again, wind didn't get him elected President, oil did.
