The article sings the praises of the Malaysian market. Year ago I used to own shares of Malaysian companies. I could get
all the statistics, everything looked great. But the politics
sure stinks! A man got elected, democratically, and when he
encountered some opposition from his assistant he arrested the]
guy on concocted charges of homosexuality and the poor fellow
was in jail for six years, horrifying his wife and children,
when he finally was released by a new prime minister. The judge of the case was intimidated by his government. A democratic election doesn't always produce a democratic regime.
I vowed I'd never invest in Malaysia. I await the time
when the Bumiputra have a genuine friendship with Malaysian
Chinese.
