Basra's murder rate of 32 per 100K, is less than the top 6 cities in the US, not just Baltimore and Detroit. And it is less or comparable than a number of countries, like Brazil, South Africa, Jamaica, etc. The big cities in these countries are far worse than Basra. And they are not at war. The overall black murder rate in the US is not much less than Basra's. I am not saying Basra is a nice peaceful city. Just that there are worse cities in the world and in the US, about which we don't hear much.
