Sorry to hear about the beagle Ish, but it sounds like it was time.

We're having the same discussion about our little rat dog. He's half-blind, totally deaf and every morning leaves a present for me on the floor of the downstairs bathroom. He's such a spazz, he's been known to pee in his food bowl.

Oh, but that is so painful to do that. Money spent well. The poor sweet dog. How did you know it had a stroke?

I'm sorry to hear that Ish, but you did the right thing by calling the vet. We still miss Buddy, but now can joke about the porch staying clean and don't feel guilty for saying that. He knew we loved him! And I'm sure your little beagle did as well!

You did the right by the dog Ish. She wasn't deserving of a bullet to the brain, she deserved to go out with some dignity.
