"And leave them to evolve their own form of government."

I have long thought that a free election in Cuba would settle the issue. If they chose Castro we would have to recognize him. Chavez and Morales got elected - at least once. Castro is not elected. The left, particularly my Canadian friends, love to say what a nice place Cuba is. If it is so nice surely they would elect Fidel (now Raul) - right?

Somehow I do not think the Castro brothers think they would win a free election and have no interest in allowing the country to evolve its own form of government.
