btw, I think the movies There will be Blood and Fast Food Nation show what the US is really all about. The US has really been in a fantasy mode over the last 20 years. the current paradigm shift will change what the US is all about. The purest capitalist state isn't about military might, a service economy, or abortion rights. It is about the efficient production of goods. That is where the US will be again after the current troubles wean themselves out. The current significant troubles, of course.
