The NYT article has been a bonus for McCain. Those who had questions about his conservatism have now taken his side and his contributions are up.

I think the entire thing was counter productive. I love the Times but in the past I have always looked to them for
objective and truthful reporting with the latter being a
story that has absolute back up and credibility..

I hope the Times is ready to do that or retract..
