Buyers of CanRoys - I went to Grant's investment conference in New York about 4 years ago, and many of participants, who are heavily form the hedge fund world, were just hearing about energy royalty trusts, and were starting to get interested.

Today, I expect most of these stocks have both smart and naive investors. And the smart ones have access to lots of capital.

Because many of these stocks are thin, and tend to have tax advantages for individuals, I expect many of the hedge fund people have them in their personal portfolios, instead of the funds they run where the institutional investors are often tax exempt.
