Westlake was one of the names that caught my eye on that list. Hadn't heard of him. Just took a look at a Stark bibliography....who to pick up next is a pleasing dilemma! Parker or Stark....I guess it'll depend on availability....

BTW, I started the first Flashman a couple of weeks ago and put it aside after a couple of chapters. That guy is a rat! Chapter 1 ends with him cuffing around a woman and then there is that rigging of a duel....I put it aside in favor of a fat volume of Orwell's essays. I'll probably get back to it at some point but right now I'm fishing for a good pot boiler.

I was reminded on another thread about John Dunning, author and a used bookshop owner from Denver. He's fun if you're a mystery buff and a book collector. He peppers his stories with the arcana of collecting, like identifying points on first edition first state, first edition second state, etc, and the various ways publishers may indicate a first. His protagonist is a former cop turned used bookshop owner and part time private eye.
