As a Born Texan, I have to defend the state's beauty. First of all, Texas is HUGE. It's got ugly parts, and they're HUGE. It's got beautiful parts. It's got all sorts of different types of landscape, except big mountains.

East Texas is mostly big pine forests. Central Texas is wonderful rocky hill country. West Texas is mostly desert, some of which is very beautiful. If you want to go to a spectacular National Park and have it mostly to yourself, go to Big Bend. North Texas is plains like Kansas and flat as a pool table. The coast has really nice places, and the Gulf is warm with very small waves, great for swimming.

Now that's unpatriotic to the great Republic of Texas. I'll have you know Texans take great pride in their scrub brush, cacti, and tumbleweeds. ;)

Yeah and they think oil rig are "perty".
