jimsioi, I think that SLV has had a recent increase from 5072 tonnes on the 20th Feb to 5249 tonnes on the 21st Feb. SLV's data is always a couple of days late getting posted so they may be more still to come. I have been a supporter of GLD in the past and I still think that the concept has merit but I doubt that it can operate fairly with the rampant short selling that is allowed on the NA exchanges.. I continue to hold some GOLD.AX on the Aussie market and I feel comfortable with that even though it is run by Streettracks and has similar rules and management. The ASX has much better control of short selling than exists on the US exchanges and I doubt that the Aussie GOLD ETF could be short sold in any significant way. The Aussie CHESS system of share registration and ownership records is also transparent, far tighter and better regulated than the Cede & Co, DTC, DTCC shambles that supposedly regulates share transfer and ownership in the US.

jimsioi, from the NYSE as of Mid Feb. Short Interest in GLD was 7,866,246 DOWN from 8,737,282 shares in the prior period. There are about 205 million shares outstanding. Is there a conspiracy to make me think that everyone thinks that everything that happens is a result of some conspiracy? Is it an attempt to make me go mad, trying to set the record straight, when all, except I , know that all these crazy theories are just made up, with the intent of tormenting me? How much does aluminum foil sell for? I am going to need a lot. Or does one need real tin?
