Oh, gag me with a trowel. This list of carefully cherry picked Bush "screwups" is very comforting for Democrats looking to confirm themselves in their world view but does nothing serious. If the Clinton White House had really been doing any sort of a job against terror, they would have listened to Clark and done more than flap their gums and bomb a few empty tents when Al Qaeda bombed the WTC, Khobar Towers, the US embassies, the USS Cole, etc etc. Osama bin Laden and his cohorts became absolutely convinced that there was little price to pay for attacking the US. It was a paper tiger with no stomach for fight. Just look the record, they said. Look at Somalia! Look their weak responses to a series of ever larger attacks! And didn't they have a point? Furthermore, I can easily prove you're not serious about terror. Name the one terrorist threat that Bush should be paying attention to NOW but isn't. Name the one action he should take against terror NOW, the "Tora Bora" that he should attack NOW. ...sound of birds chirping... There is never a present action that the modern Dems will support. They will only carp in hindsight.
