Go back and read the colloquy on which you commented. Perhaps you could tell me what your comment has to do with that. That colloquy is about Canada. Canada. In Canada, their medicare (not Medicare but medicare--I read during my research that they don't capitalize their version) is financed through income tax. That's income tax. Not payroll but income tax. I stated very clearly the context of my comments. I said "were we to fund as you do." That takes SS and Medicare out of the picture.
