Elroy, No it isn't explicit.. but as she reiterated the bolded part of the other post in the interview and expanded a bit.. ie. increases will need be justified by productivity NOT simply because prices (living expenses) are increasing due to inflationary pressures.. or will not happen.. this can be managed by declaring strikes illegal.. which sounded like her tack.

Let me change my statement to a softer.. which I should have done initially .. instead of being so bombastic.. IMO sounds like Australian government will actively try to prevent a wage price spiral as we saw in the 70's by limiting wages, one way or another.

Gillard's interview statements seem to be at odds with her spiel less than a year a go... She seemed to have a lot more resolve than simply jawboning... and again coming from a Labor government ... it's like a flashback for me ..
