Big % of the people's income -in Scandinavia- is provide by government. That money comes from heavy taxation. That's why we have purchase power parity. One guy may be earning 50% of a Norwegian and still doing much better than him. Again is better to be poor in Scandinavia but it is better to be rich elsewhere: you can get cheap club services, household help, plus a lot of professions that don;t earn huge salaries. Meaning: you can go to the beach and don't have to paint your house oir repair the roof yourself during your summer holidays. No need to persuade me of the taxation. Finish but he can elaborate on his neighbors.
