I'll take your recommendation on that, thank you. Just started John Dunning's The Bookman's Wake. Reads like your typical hard boiled, the best parts are when his protagonist goes booking. Picked up these two little tidbits so far; Louis L'Amour wrote under the pseudonym Tex Burns early in his career and Gore Vidal wrote some mysteries in the 50s under the pseudonym Edgar Box. I had no idea! I'll have to keep my eyes open for those titles....

The Hunter is now a collector's item. abebooks.com Reissued as Point Blank because of the movie. That's a collector's item too, not quite as pricey. abebooks.com Reissued yet again as Payback because of the movie after that. abebooks.com I may wind up doing a library search on this one. :) I go to abe out of habit, it's the first site a reputable used and rare book dealer will list with. bookfinder is actually better, they include all the used book sites in their search. bookfinder.com
