There was interview hack in mid-November on CNBC with a big Abu Dhabi builder, where the interviewee said that they would be taking a majority position in a US publicly traded homebuilder within the next year. Having said that, this is the same company that bought into John Laing within the last year or two. So there timing isn't necessarily the best.
