President Bush issued Executive order No. 3,456,789,621 today authorizing an increase in the number of stars and bars on the nation's flag. In a prepared statement, Mr. Bush said, "We've raised the debt ceiling any number of times but somehow overlooked that the number of stars and bars has remained static in this golden era of the glorious United States of America. Therefore, I have decided that we should immediately increase the number of stars from 50 to 60 and the number of bars to 18. This will allow us to continue to expand beyond our current 50 states well into the foreseeable future as we continue to bring democralunacy to the rest of the world."

..then, in the discussion that followed Kudlow's opening declaration, his first panelist (Dennis Kneale, formerly of Fox) explained there really wasn't any inflation because:

a)...to equate to its former high the POG would have to be $2300(!!)..

and later:

b)..we all know an increase in PPI doesn't necessarily translate into an increase in CPI...

good grief..
