But to be fair it's not just stupidity or weakness. Some people feel really bad about discharging debts in bankruptcy. After all, they are breaking an oath.

People file bankruptcy because they don't see any way out, but a significant percentage feel bad about it, and want to make good on their promises.

Undoubtedly true, but, as a buyer, how dumb do you have to be to be a debt a bankruptcy judge has discharged??????
