Spengler says on Feb 25, 2008 at 9:23 PM…. I didn't expect many people to like this essay. After all, I did not have kind words for the American public, either. But fair is fair. Obama has made the subject of the campaign not policy, but his own personality -- hence the cultish adoration of the fellow among Democratic primary voters. His personality therefore is fair game. We aren't playing for toothpicks here. Obama says the fate of the Republic is at stake, and to that extent he's right. If I am right, and he is an enraged mama's boy under the slick exterior, there is a way to stop him in the national election. But it won't be pretty. If you thought this essay was obnoxious, you ain't seen nothing' yet. To the comment that Spengler is maybe stiring the pot: Spengler replies on Feb 25, 2008 at 9:44 PM… meant every word of it, in deadly earnest. The way to stop Obama is to go after him personally, without quarter or pity. Call him out as a hard-core leftist masquerading as a uniter: attack his sincerity. The Republicans should show the video of Michelle Obama expressing "frustration" and "disappointment" matched against footage of her attending corporate board meetings, again and again and again. And so forth. As for the idea that I am a neo-con -- if the neo-cons hadn't been such incompetents, none of this would be happening. LOTS more at the link above...
