Look at what happened in Wako with David Korish. The local sheriff had a personal relationship with David. He probably could have made a phone call and simply asked Korish to come to his office. Korish made frequent trips into town and could have been stopped at any time outside the compound. Instead the feds decided to use swat team military styled tactics. Look at the results.

What??? You're stretching it quite a bit here, that guy refused to cooperate with all the requests for him to surrender himself and/or to allow everyone to leave, he decided to hold everyone hostage so the police wouldn't move it... the fact that he decided to burn down his own place with everyone in it was his own choice and his own stupidity...
