Sure, why not remove the caps on FNM and FRE? They have FINALLY (supposedly) gotten their books current, and their loss announcements this week clearly demonstrate their level of competence and due diligence. If you're going to go down in flames, might as well make the biggest explosion possible.

Gubberment is pulling out all the stops for the elections this fall.

My vote is to let FNM and FRE fail instead of bailing them out at taxpayer expense.

Privatized profits, socialized losses.
