I wonder what's Rove's strategy to defeat him?

Call Tonya Harding?

Rove knows a thing or two about winning elections (even if we don't always agree with most of his tactics)...and IF some of the right wing elements in the GOP party ignore Rove's advice it may come back and haunt them when Obama could win in a landslide election in November of 2008. Karl Rove is smart enough to know that most voters will reject the demonization of Obama and his name -- and long term damage could be done to the Republican party.

zeta,

I wonder what's Rove's strategy to defeat him?

One thing Rove mentioned was that McCain should match Obama's world against reality. Specifically, he mentioned Obama's claim that he can work with Democrats, Republicans and independents. The reality of his career is that he was on far left of the Dem party on all the votes, voting party line, and that he was never part of the bi-partisan coalition building middle.
