>>In the Environment and Public Works Committee Subcommittee on Superfund and Environmental Health, I found that Clinton had chaired and been actively engaged in a number of hearings during the same period.<<

John -

I'm not defending Obama's record of not holding any hearings at all, but I think the use of the phrase "a number of hearings" in discussing what Senator Clinton has done is unnecessarily vague, and my lead to a different view of what she has actually done.

The number in this case is three. That doesn't seem like a number one should have to be vague about. One can hardly lose count when looking at the record.

I do acknowledge that three is more than zero.

There is no question in my mind that Hillary is a lot more hard working than Obama.

<<<I expected Hillary Clinton to be too busy for things like subcommittee hearings and Obama to be drilling in and learning as much as he could because his experience in federal level legislative affairs might be perceived as weak.

I found the opposite -- and discovered that Barack Obama, despite his role as Chairman of the European Subcommittee on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, had not held a single policy hearing during his tenure. >>>

Obama is brilliant, but he needs some serious OJT before he becomes President. What is the rush? Especially when we have someone that is ready to be President right now.

Obama is not to be blamed for this rush to be President before he is ready. It is all about the instant gratification needs of his supporters. Older supporters show signs of the Stockholm Syndrome as they are being swept up into this movement to rush Obama.

Older supporters have nothing to lose by resisting this rush. There are better ways to get points for sucking up.
