Actually my dear Mr. Dolphin, it is "Ms. Sea Otter".

Agreed that much of the world is an illusion. Maybe all of it, in fact.

But from that it doesn't follow that all conspiracy theories are true. Nor does it
follow (as you imply) that independent thinking must automatically lead one in believing in all conspiracy theories.

In fact, it's often just the opposite. Conspiracy theories are usually examples of herd mentality and confirmation bias. People look for the easy explanation.

As to the difference in business plans and conspiracies. Well yes, I do know the difference (I've been involved in many business plans - it's my job).

A business plan is the model of execution for a firm. What market will be addressed, what people will be hired, what products will be sold, how money will be made. In silicon valley we do this all the time.

A conspiracy is a secret organization that plots to subvert, destroy or somehow mislead the broader public on some issue.

They're not the same thing at all. Am I right to conclude that you've never started a business?
