Anyone who survives and thrives on the campaign trail has a superhuman capacity for work and stress, in both parties.

But Obama would have to prove himself in his first year in the White House that he could set clear directions and agendas, and do what's necessary to make progress.

I've never thought willingness to spend long hours in meaningless tasks was a good indicator of success.

If asked about the subcommittee on Europe he headed where he never held any hearings, imo he should respond "Europe will still be there tomorrow."
