In every state, the voters can bypass elected officials and directly make law, via the petition process.

Why are we the people blocked from doing so at the federal level?

I heard a new interesting statistic on the radio today.

On a percentage basis, the United States has the largest percentage of its own people in jail.

More than any other country in the world.

More than 1% of our population is currently in jail or prison.
