Now that I am well into middle age and have made a place for myself in the world, I have no qualms about spending as much as $5.99 for a bottle of wine.

ALDI is a privately held German company that owns Trader Joe's, my very favorite store, which is the originator of two-buck Chuck. (Charles Shaw wine selling for $2 a bottle, it's no Boone's Farm or Cisco though)

I don't buy the Chuck, but I am a HUGE fan of Trader Joe's and have been shopping there for 25 years. Great bargains on everything. Like Aldi, they used to specialize on closeouts, but they have gotten so huge that closeouts are only a small part of their business anymore.
