Re: "We have lots of crime..." LOL! The question I always ask is: Are AMERICANS inherently MORE EVIL then folks in all the other parts of the world? Are Americans running around acting lawlessly willy-nilly? (You know, are we 'more evil and lawless' then Russia, China, Cuba, Pakistan, all of Europe, etc., etc., etc.), or is the fact that we have the HIGHEST INCARCERATION RATE of the entire world more a result of us having TOO MANY BAD AND UNNECESSARY LAWS (for example: all the Puritanical Big Government laws against private adult behaviors... for example the drug prohibitions which account for around 40% of the entire prison/jail populations)? 'More evil then everyone else', or do we simply have too many BAD LAWS? I come down on the side of thinking that the American people are NOT inherently more evil and lawless then everyone else in the entire world --- it is our GOVERNMENT which has created this mess by passing too many bad laws, in areas where government has no proper business being, interfering with the liberties of supposedly free citizens.... It is Big Daddy Government, Big Brother which is the problem. Not the American people!
