Agree.

The layoffs in NYC will be followed by layoffs elsewhere and the double whammy hit on financials and comm'l real estate, which is why I am long SRS and SKF and plan to long for at least a year, perhaps longer.

What's your take on silver?

I have noted a huge short position, probably held by banks, hedge funds, and the rest of the miscreants exposed to subprime, etc., and I think it is likely to unwind as they feel heat elsewhere. I am thinking that silver is ready for blast off, esp. since inventories seem very low.
