We are in Iraq because Saddam couldn't stop invading other countries and wouldn't cooperate with UNSC mandates.

Wrong. He had stopped his invasions after he didn't have Reagan/Bush behind him egging him on.

And in 2003, we invaded Iraq for the oil.

We're in Afghanistan because the Taliban allowed AQ to use their country as a base for attacks against us.

We were in Afghanistan to capture bin Laden.....which didn't happen........another one on the list of Bush failures. Remember.....bin Laden was the perpetrator of 9/11; not the Taliban.

Our interventions are a result of ME instability getting out of hand, not the cause
