I gather the campaign strategy is this business of defining your opponents early. So all this stuff comes out. It's less about the truth of any one assertion than it is about creating a plausible identity. Then future revelations are meant to fill out the identity.

The Obama folk will need to find ways to start combating it to avoid the Gore and Kerry mistakes.
