put it this way- grand canyon is beautiful, I would love a house out there. If I lived in a 10K sq fthouse out here because I was an executive, I would NOT want one that large, there. Why?

- because it is a vacation home likely to be utilized by only my family and close friends, not hundreds of guests for various social events which are the norm near Corp HQ.
- a 10K sq ft property would require upkeep while I was not living there 10 mos of the year
- a remote, large property would require "bussing in" maintenance staff
- how close is the closest grocery store?

etc

somehow these points are getting lost in this.

There is a lot of reason to buy property in various locales. But how many people want a 10K sq ft house in these places?
