I believe energy is a perfect example of how to combine the view points for a solution. To me the solution is simple. It is a combination of conservation and production. Production is a combination of renewables and thermal. It is not all wind. It is not all about solar. It is not all about drilling everything. Inclusion of renewables is necessary to bring along those who are on the other side. That's a great example of how to approach a real problem pragmatically and put the partisanship aside. Problems like this can be discussed without the usual "Liberals don't want to drill anywhere! Rightwingers just want to rape the environment! My side has the complete solution, your side is full of idiots!" Once we get past that BS, we can start to make some progress on the huge issues weighing us down now. Well done.
