Nothing wrong with noticing cars ...

>>>I was also getting concerned about my Coconut's fascination with all things to do with cars, especially of the flashier sort, preferably convertible, … she might get too fascinated with boys who drive flashy cars by the time she reaches age of majority;<<<

So you deal with this by going out and buying a flashy convertible ?

So that later, boys with flashy cars will not only get her attention, but remind her of Daddy's wonderful car...

Or...maybe you (TJ) are attributing YOUR fascination with cars to someone else...

Anyway, Congratulations on your fun purchase ! I expect the Mini Coopers, now made by BMW, will hold much of their value if well maintained, and provide years of fun.

My daughter gets her license later this year... she will be 16 in the fall..

When she was Coconut's age we were looking at this in a toy store
rokenbok.com ... She said... you know daddy ... That looks like a lot of fun.. (I was sold already.. just needed an excuse :O) I confess that I must have spent about 1500-2000 bucks on this stuff.. it is fun.. so far those are the only vehicles outside of an ATV that she drives :O)

She'll get her license because I think it's important.. and I'll say no car though... then a little later as common sense is demonstrated I will invariably set some difficult but obtainable targets for her which will merit a car.. We both already know the play... :O)

My son loves it too... so we are getting lots of mileage ... he is only 8..
