Maybe Ms. Obama should be a poster lady for medical costs rising at such an astounding rate!!! Her salary almost tripled in a year!!! Is the hospital a not-for-profit? How is is funded? I agree with you MJ....she's telling young people to stay away from "corporate jobs"....for what reason? So they don't have the American dream? jumped from $121,910 in 2004, just before her husband was elected to the Senate, to $316,962 in 2005, just after he took office.

It is astounding that Mrs. Obama's salary went from $121,910. in 2004 to $316,962. in one years time at the University of Chicago Hospital. cynics might be persuaded that it had something to do with her husband taking a state senate seat about that time.
