Tectoy sold 42,5% of Tectoy of America, to Qualcomm Incorporated, for US$ 5,4 million. Code named "Jeanie", the project only found Qualcomm in develop it. According to Fernando Fischer, Tectoy president, other companies were consulted but showed no interest. "Qualcomm saw the potential immediately", said Fischer.

Fischer bound by NDA did not elaborate on the product. Said to be targetted to beat the likes of Sony, Microsoft e Nintendo.
