Lane, re: You read the various comments on the blog as examples of that and it outraged you. What outraged me was the initial comment, the follow up posts I viewed as simply supportive of the initial comment. "Small business owners don't have it easy." I wasn't suggesting that they did. I wasn't even discussing small businesses. The discussion was about statements that reveal an eagerness to assume character flaws in those who are forced to rely on aid. And, finally, with respect to acknowledging an error and moving on, that doesn't apply when the author acknowledges a collateral error but then suggests that the central point might nonetheless have been well taken. But if you're suggesting that I was too strident maybe you're right. Blame the victim tactics make me crazy. Ed
