But there is widespread belief in the scientific community that human activities can and do contribute to global warming. You'll get no argument from me. It is not promoted as an existential threat, whereas terrorism is. Huh? Not only do folks have different perceptions of the amount of data, they also have different perceptions of how the threats are promoted. The only explanation I have for that is predisposition. We humans enhance what supports us and discount what doesn't. beyond which there may be consequences ranging from just disruptive to catastrophic. OK, if you don't like "existential," we can use "catastrophic." Doesn't change anything. Anywhere, here's a good source of data. You're making the invalid assumption that I haven't seen what data there are.
